Beach break can can be very frustrating if its been a stormy winter as the sand bars move. However it can really deliver some surprises and if your in the area it is really worth a look. Try the far left after the rocks, but only if your experienced.
Dunfanaghy in Donegal is a fairly exposed beach break that has fairly consistent surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. Works best in offshore winds from the southeast. Waves just as likely from local windswells as from distant groundswells and the best swell direction is from the northwest. The beach breaks offer lefts and rights. Rarely crowded here.
